119 – Achieving Self-Love with Nicola Fernandes

Welcome back to the Scale Your Small Business Podcast with your host, Jillian Flodstrom! Today we’re talking with Nicola Fernandes, who helps big-hearted leaders and achievers (whose life looks perfect on the outside) to drop the fear, disconnection, and need for external validation so they can live the lives they want.

Self-love has everything to do with money. Money is just like any other relationship–it’s like a partner. By focusing on your personal relationship with money, not only will it start to flow, but other things in your life will follow. Your other relationships, your work, and your hobbies will start to align. Connecting with yourself helps your business! The flow is inside of you, just like the growth that happens. It is reflected in your work.

We often are taught to live with fear. We model our lives after what we see, and fear can be prevalent in that. Just because others around you live disconnected to themselves doesn’t mean you have to. Nicola says to stop considering what you don’t want and focus on what you do want. Who do you want to be? Be them today. Continue to move into the future!

Overcoming that fear and trying something new depends on you identifying what the fear represents. Notice the fear, acknowledge it, and choose differently. Find another emotion to tie to what that fear represents and reframe that challenge. In the same way, if you created that fear as a companion (remember–money is a relationship!) to keep you going, reframe what nudges you forward.

Surround yourself with higher vibrations. Coaches, masterminds, books, podcasts–you name it. Develop your connection with who you want to be.
