113 – Love Yourself with Rema Weme

Welcome back to the Scale Your Small Business Podcast with your host, Jillian Flodstrom! Our guest today is the wonderful Rena Weme. She’s a leader, advocate, speaker, and author who  empowers women to fully accept and love themselves through her Self-Worth Pillars approach, which focuses on creating mental, physical, financial, and spiritual harmony.

Confidence is a tricky thing that takes time, intentional effort, and sometimes facing that fear. If your confidence is low, Rena mentions, it is reflected in your income. It starts, she says, when you create self trust that you’re not going to quit. Self confidence gets developed when you don’t let yourself down, you keep going even through the valleys and the lows.

In knowing hard times are inevitable, Rema suggests creating a reservoir. Create the mindset that you’re committed to yourself. By doing that, you provide yourself with a well to pull from and can bounce back even quicker. Build a team around you who can help you be as resilient as you can be when you approach a valley.

Your heart tells you who you should be working with. Create a team that will be steps ahead of you, not behind. It has to be heart-based. When you’re on the hunt for someone, consider asking them their long-term vision for their life. Come from a place of equality.
